Sambar Powder

Ingredients : 
Byadgi Chilli, Cumin (Jeera), Fenugreek, Coriander, Urad dal, Chana dal (Chickpea lentils), Curry leaves,Oil.

Method :  

> On a heated pan, Chana dal, Urad dal, Curry leaves, Jeera(Cumin) and Fenugreek were 
dry roasted on a low flame without adding oil until the dals turned golden in colour and begins to turn aromatic.
> The ingredients were aside on a plate. Then, on the same pan, added oil until it’s hot enough, roasted and stirred chilli and hing until it emitted pleasant aroma.
> Later, all these ingredients were allowed to be room temperature completely and then transfer to a mixer jar to make a fine Sambar powder.

Tips : Users can make 'coconut sambar' of Udupi style by adding some grated coconut to it. Or a simple and delicious 'Dal sambar' without coconut.
